I signed a contract with SEACOM in September 2016 for a 50Mbps Fibre installation. The whole process was very professional, right from my initial contact with Sean, through to the planning, site visits and implementation of the line. I later upgraded the line to a 100Mbps as we added more rooms to our hotel. The upgrade went smoothly without any issues. In May 2018 I signed a contract for our guesthouse in Brooklyn for a 25Mbps line. Once again, the process went smoothly without any hiccups. Everybody involved was very professional and target dates were kept to. We seldom experience any down time with their service and when we do, response times are fast. Hertex changed Internet service provider in August 2017 to SEACOM due to the unreliable service we had been receiving from our previous supplier. SEACOM came highly recommended through contacts we had spoken to. We commenced the relationship by using their MPLS service on a national footprint in order to interconnect all of our branches. We also signed up for their managed Internet breakout service. The service roll out for most branches in major centres was quick. Based on the stability and quality of their network, we decided to change our Telkom lines over to SEACOM’s VOIP. The changeover was quick and hassle free with great improvement in voice quality. Costs savings were also realised due to the many interbranch calls being made. WBHO have been using SEACOM’s high-speed fibre internet at a number of our construction sites and Head Office - I have to say that it has transformed the way we do business. Bandwidth has always been expensive, and you don’t get much for your buck when it comes to bandwidth cost per MB. However, SEACOM are very aggressive in their offerings and their service is uncontended. Linking our sites to high-speed internet has allowed us to make forward strides in supplying our site with communications via our platform directly to our head office. Furthermore, it has allowed us to automate certain processes on site.
